Properties - batch change

I have 500 clips that I am using in a project and I need to change one property of these clips in *every* one.
I wish to change the Pixel Aspect Ratio from PAL DV (4:3 - its current value) to PAL DV Widescreen (16:9).
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This is *not* a "how to do a 16:9 movie ?". It's a different thing.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
So far, I have only found the following ways to do it:
(1) in the Media Pool, right-click one clip, go to "Media" and change the property. It changes OK. Everytime this clip is imported in the timeline it has the right propery (widescreen).
(2) import a clip to the timeline, right-click the event in the timeline, go to "Media" and change the property. It changes OK (widescreen).

Why am I being unsuccessful ?
- If I select a collection of clips in the Media Pool and then use method (1) only the *last* clip in the slection is changed, all the other ones remain unchanged.
- If I select a collection of events in the Timeline then try to use method (2), the right-click drop-down menu has the "Properties" greyed-out.

I don't want to use method (1) or (2) 500 times (!!!) Would there be a better way to do it, all at once ?

Many thanks.

You could sit down with a cup of coffee and whip all these changes out in a couple of hours, or:

You could finish the show in regular DV format, then render as DV Wide. There shouldn't be any recompression of the DV clips in this scenario.

I knew it, I knew it !!! Not one, but TWO solutions to my problem !!! :-)
Well, coffee makes me nervous, so I guess I will go for the second one.
Thanks again, SonicEPM.
