Properties->Playback Rate causes multiple copies

Using MSP16, build 167 on Win7.

Was experimenting with speeding up video. Tried the Properties-Playback Rate method for 4X and found it split the event up into 4 duplicate 4X speed copies. I.e. original event was length 40 and now it's 4 duplicated copies of length 10. See screenshot.

Is this the way it's supposed to work? Can't see where it would be useful.

I know about Ctrl-Drag the event end to speed up, so I'll just that.

It is looping the event. I believe there is a preference to turn this off.

If you really want to do it this way instead of Ctrl+drag, simply drag the right hand edge of the clip back to the first loop point.

Thanks for the comments. I was curious if this was a bug or a "feature". :) Didn't try build 175, since I'm Win7 and reports here indicate possible problems with that combo.
