ProRes Weirdness in Vegas 22

Here's an image taken from 3 screenshots in VLC Media Player. The frame on the left is a still from a video rendered using Magix HEVC (for reference). The middle screenshot is taken from a still from that same video, but rendered to ProRes HQ in Vegas 20. The still on the right is a screenshot from that exact same project, rendered to ProRes HQ, but with Vegas 22. You can see the banding (within the red rectangle) that Vegas 22 is producing. What's going on here? The settings are exactly the same...just rendered using Vegas 22 instead of 20.

That is concerning.

Was the HEVC rendered in VP 22 or 20?

Are you on build 194 of 22?

What are your project settings- are you in 32-bit mode (ACES?) or 8-bit full?

In a quick test using color gradients generated in VEGAS, a photo test image and a fairly flat video with gradations I didn't see anything concerning with ProRes HQ in VP 22.
