Prospective Movie Studio Purchaser

I'm researching alternatives to Studio 8 as that has been nothing but an utter failure for me. One of the recommendations they have is that you have a separate hard drive dedicated exclusively for the purpose of video capture/editing/creating. Is there a similar recommendation for Movie Studio 3.0? Is that a universal thing with this kind of software? Thanks for any guidance you may provide.

It is a universal thing. It is recommended in order to get best performance when capturing an editing.
I love Movie Studio. I used Studio 7, but MS is much better.
This forum is great for helping out.
MS can be intimidating in the beginning just because it can do so much.
