ProTitle Collections Drag Crashes and Closes V8

I drag an Empty ProTitle preset to the project Timeline.
I scroll up a given Preset menu - say, Collections/Bounce.
Click and hold on the preset.
The instant I start to drag the preset to the Titler timeline - I get a system failure msg and Vegas closes.

Any short answers before I shoot a detail off to Sony Support this evening?

this happened to me, I closed and re-opened Vegas and it stopped happening. Not sure what the deal was, but I'd say, send it off.

I've not had the problem anymore but it's obviously something that's not just a total fluke.

I did exactley as described, with the pro titler, & experienced no problem. WindowsXP current build, HP m7680n.

Thanks for the input. Went to Sony Support today. Forwarded the error msg and bumped it upstairs. Safe mode, msconfig trials, driver scan - no change. FYI, Alienware AMD dual core 64 4800+, NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX, XP Pro w SP2 and all updates, DriverScan updates. V7 continues to hold all my working projects, all other functions of V8 seem fine, although I haven't rendered anything yet. Will advise if solution seems of interest.
