Yes Peter, correct. I really should have spelt this out a bit further . . .
My point is this:
A] When I had edited my SAMPLE TEXT to say "From Left" for an animated text appear coming from the LEFT, I get 2 things - My Collection(s) name is "From Left" AND my screen is filled with the effect saying "From Left". I didn't, I don't think, name my collection "Far Left" it appeared as "Far Left".
B] Here we have Yarin who has graciously supplied us with a Collection(s) called "Neon". It says "Neon" in the Collection(s) but does not reflect this within the screen, I understand that this is what happens IF one leaves the PTT with the SAMPLE TEXT as . .er . .SAMPLE TEXT. But how in all that is Vogon logic was Yarin ABLE to name it "Neon" from within Vegas PTT?
Do you now see my point? When I have created my simple Collection(s) It has taken the wordage I have chosen to use from the PTT workspace - period. I'm wanting to know just how Yarin has been able to circumvent this?
Ah yes - good question - after changing text, and any other parameters, you click on the Floppy Icon in the first line of the Timeline for Save Collection, and a text field opens in the Collections list where you can give it any name you like.
I see a link that's a gif file location, click it & it opens up an animated gif. he changed something from the first preset he posted, that worked fine.
Now all preset are with direct link to Zip file, if anyone has problems please report to me.

Grazie, try to download again the first 2 presets and check if now are ok.
I apologize for this, but I made the preset quickly and, surely, I forgot main Vogon principle! :-)
I'm confused. All I see are links to GIF's. There are no presets. Am I missing something? I read the thread and some people, apparently, are getting these...or are asking for them via email. Is that the rule? ...ask for them via email?
I don't understand why, but seems that someone can't use the direct link to zip file on the gif, so I changed all links and now you can see "DOWNLOAD HERE" under the image, click on it and save the ZIP File or right-click than Save As the zip file.
Toggle your autmation (the "@" sign). Keyframe by moving at given moment on your timeline in the PTtiler window.
To add a fancy "bounce" or similar, click on curves, and drag onto your x/y offset when you have automated them. It's a 2 click approach, first positions curve, second positions end.
IT is very simple, (just once you've done it a couple of times :) )
I've extracted the files properly, and Explorer show the *.xml files in Collections, but I'm not seeing them in PTT. Neon et al as above are showing up fine. Any thoughts?
I had the same problem in XP. To unhide it,
Go into control panel and click on Folder Options, then view tab, then click on the radio button in Hidden files and folders: "Show hidden files and folders"
Darryl - what version of Vegas 8 are you using (a or b)?
[edit: also - you could try saving your own collection, give it a recognisable name - and see if that then appears in collections - and find the assosciated xml]
Vegas 8b, XP Pro, pretty solid AMD setup. Guess what. Exited Vegas, re-opened and there they are. Coulda' sworn that's part of my routine for trouble-shooting. Sorry to trouble.
