PS3 Media Server

New tool was posted today in Tools section on videohelp.com website. It is called:

PS3 Media Server: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/PS3_Media_Server

It is free, does not require any installation, just double click .exe file.
I tried it. It works great, and cannot be easier than that.
I am running PS3 Media Server on two PCs and PS3 can see both.

If you've tried it, how does it compare to TwonkyMedia?

I didn't try TwonkyMedia, and I didn't try TVersity. I tried Nero MediaHome, RedKawa File Server, Windows Media Player 11, I even tried IIS solution. I had problems with all those.
With PS3 Media Server set up was done within a minute.

Here is info:

Just tried it on Vista 64. Works quite well.

Wow. Finally a media server that just works. I'm impressed so far. I wish it just transcoded instead of creating a separate transcoded folder to navigate but I can live with that. All you PS3 users that have been looking for something easier...this is it.

I'll answer my own question about PS3 Media Server vs. TwonkyMedia.

PS3 Media Server is far superior. Much better transcoding and the simple, no questions asked access to all folders on all drives is a dream. No setting up special folders that can accessed by the PS3. PS3 Media Server can see everything and play most of it.
