Publish on Media Center

I am about to publish my first project from Vegas Studio Platinum.
My clips consist of some old mini dv I captured.
I used template NTSC DV Widescreen. My resolution is 720x480. I want to publish this on my hard drive so that I may transfer it to my Media Center. I am thinking I should use Format Main Concept MPEG2. Any recommendations you can give me for the template and format to use will be greatly appreciated. You learn by doing!

Or, you can just export at WMV, which is the native format of Windows' media center. Also, make sure you export with an 1.00 aspect ratio resolution. E.g. for widescreen DV that would be 872x480, not 720x480.

Thank you Eugenia. Sounds like you're pointing me toward the right direction. Would you please walk me through it? Is capture always going to transfer whatever is on the tape to the hard drive unmodified. If it's recorded on the tape at 720x480 then the captured file will be the same, no matter what the project properties are set for. I am using VMSP 9 - I cant find export function you described other than one export to PSP from tools. Am I missing another export option? If I pick (1) Make Movie (2) Save it to my hard drive then as per your suggestion (3) Format Windows Media video v11 (wmv) (4) then that's where I am lost - default template will match my clips resolution (which makes sense to me) , but should I consider other template best suited for my purpose?

Use this to export in WMV: http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2007/11/09/exporting-with-vegas-for-vimeo-hd/
The only two changes you need to do (because the tutorial is for HD), is to change the exporting resolution to 872x480 and bitrate 2.5 M. Everything else is the same as in the tutorial.
