Published Videos are Unclear

After I am done editing my videos, I watch them on the box on the lower right (I have Sony Vegas 7), and they look perfectly fine.

But when I render them, they look unclear and jumbled, but only if there is a lot of camera movement.

If anyone knows what type of type/template I should use that would be very helpful. Thank You!

Oh, I dunno, I've always been pretty happy with the Unclear and Jumbled template.

On a more serious note, you'll get better help if you provided more information. At the very least, we need to know:

1. What is the intended delivery method for the video -- web, DVD, projector, etc?

2. What format are you trying to render to -- WMV, MOV, MPEG2, DV AVI, DIVX, etc?

3. What formate / template did you use when you got the "unclear and jumbled" result?

4. What, specifically, does "unclear and jumbled" entail, since that could be interpreted many ways. Is it blurry? Pixelated? Garbled? If it's blurry or pixelated, you probably need to increase the bitrate (assuming the format you use allows for that). If it's garbled, then something went wrong either with the render or with the device or program you're using to play the file.

5. Which reminds me, what device or program did you use to view the file?

HDV footage , right?

I get the opposite problem - my renders are clear and bright but they are HUUGE and I cant either: fit them to DVD (at one end) or send by email (at another end). :-( So I have to compromise all the render settings.

Do you have a WMV template or a WMV HD template? - try those on the maximum bit-rate setting - nice, but huge m*** files. Then alter the settings - the Vegas online has some god help on what all the parameters mean.
