Quantize to Frames

Interesting traffic on quantize to frames over the past couple of days.

I've always been under the impression that quantize forced clip trims to occur on frame boundaries - now, it seems that this is not so? But rather that trims occur at timeline frames?

If so, how is this useful?

I regularly see interframe jitter when I have quantize turned off.

Here and ready to learn . . .

Quantize to frames forces editing to project frames. This is most often very useful because most often the media frame rate matches the project frame rate. I suppose if your entire project is made up of media of the same frame rate that doesn't match the project frame rate, you could temporarily set the project frame rate to match the media. After all your trimming is done set it back to whatever you want for the output.

last I knew it only allowed cuts on the frame. I only turn it off if I'm messing with an audio project.
