Last night just before going to bed I started to render a file. I was tired and I picked the wrong template. Hey, I know, my fault. Instead of using the DVD NTSC template, in error I picked the DV NTSC video stream template.
My question is WHY, if a video steam only, does it start off saying audio which can lead to the mistake I made?
Without scrolling all you see is this:
Audio: 224 kbps, 48,000Hz, Layer 2
Video: 29.97 fps, 720x480
Use this setting to create a NTSC
So being sleeply, I thought I had the correct template and of course I didn't discover I didn't until morning when I saw I created a M2v file.
Because of the small size of the dialog box, you don't notice the rest of the info:
Use this setting to create an NTSC DVD-compliant MPEG-2 video elementary stream file with extension .m2v. Consult your DVD-authoring software to determine supported audio formats.
Shouldn't this be changed to make it harder to make this kind of mistake?
