Question for SonyKSA ... the web guy.

You mentioned in another thread that you were just the web guy. I've been wondering. Is the software being used for the pages/ store / etc. a proprietary package that was programmed when everything was Sonic Foundry. Was it an off the shelf product that was customized to fit your needs?

I like the way the drop down menu system can be "right clicked" and opened in a new window. Most of those menu systems seem to remove that "open in new window' option.

Also, is the menu driven from a database or hardwired in?

Other than our search engine and some of the support section we're 100% homegrown.

The nav itself is just a mix of javascript and CSS layers. It's not currently DB driven.

Glad you like!

SonyKSA,

Yeah are you updating these pages from NAB or in Wisconsin for the Vegas 5 kick off?

While we are talking about the web site. Did you get my suggestion about the "Showcase" section that I submited though the product suggestion page? There wasn't a specific category for "web site".

Updating from Wisconsin. You can email me here. I didn't see your suggestion, but if you send it to the showcase suggestions box, it's in good hands.

Ha. Look at that. I didn't even know there was a "Showcase Suggestion" box. Cool.
