Question / HitFilm Vibrance add-on

I bought the new vegas pro 19 and I looked for an effect I use a lot and can't find it. Film Vibrance. Did you named it something else? if you did what is the new name so I can look for it. I hope that's what happened. Cause if you removed it, it would be a massive let down for me.

On checking Vegas Pro 16, 17 and, 18, there is not a native Vegas Pro VFX called Film Vibrance. Perhaps it is a third party plugin that you have been using.

Earlier versions of VEGAS Pro Suite came with certain Hitfilm effects such as vibrance, but they are not bundled in any longer. You can still buy them here... the one you are looking for is in the Color: Starter pack and is available for only $10. I don't know for sure that this will open in VEGAS as an effect (as long as it is OFX, it should be able to), or if you must use hitfilm express to use it (which is free), but this is the exact same effect you are after.

I've used that effect for years now on almost every single video I've made. My past vegas was 15. I went to 19 and I don't see it. I might have to buy it where fr0sty said. But, I achieved a very similar effect with saturation, gamma and gain tweaking. But, I use to love that effect with the preset it came with. It was perfect. Oh well, thank you guys for the help.

Given that the Color Vibrance plugin goes back to Vegas Pro 15, I think I know why it doesn't work in Vegas Pro 19 (or 18 or 17 for that matter). That plugin is part of the Ignite Pro OFX package from FXHome which are the VFX from HitFilm Pro available as an OFX plugin package in NLEs including Vegas Pro. There was a significant coding change in Vegas Pro 17 that meant that existing versions of Ignite Pro up to build 4.0 did not work in Vegas Pro 17 or later. At the time, it was necessary to update to Ignite Pro 4.1; but to do so, an Ignite Pro subscription had to have been current when build 4.1 was released or became current later on.

So fr0sty's advice is spot on. To get Color Vibrance to work in Vegas Pro, it would need to be purchased anew in order to get the current build, but you'll really need to make sure that the HitFilm Express version currently available from FXHome is an OFX version that works in Vegas Pro. If it isn't OFX, which is a distinct possibility, it will only work in HitFilm Express but not in Vegas Pro. The only alternative then, unfortunately, is to get the entire Ignite Pro package which, sadly, is not inexpensive.

Ignite Pro is an alternative addition, worthwhile considering. colour correction, chroma key, vibrance, etc.

my current Win10/64 system (latest drivers, water cooled) :

Intel Coffee Lake i5 Hexacore (unlocked, but not overclocked) 4.0 GHz on Z370 chipset board,

32GB (4x8GB Corsair Dual Channel DDR4-2133) XMP-3000 RAM,

Intel 600series 512GB M.2 SSD system drive running Win10/64 home automatic driver updates,

Crucial BX500 1TB EDIT 3D NAND SATA 2.5-inch SSD

2x 4TB 7200RPM NAS HGST data drive,

Intel HD630 iGPU - currently disabled in Bios,

nVidia GTX1060 6GB, always on latest [creator] drivers. nVidia HW acceleration enabled.
