Hi Experts
I'm looking for a new camera that can replace my DSLR, Smal compact, and HD video camera (AVCHD) with a small camera that can fit in a pocked.
I have looked at Canon G7X, and today I've tried in the store. I't seems to fit my requirements but I'm not shure how to set best render profile
I'm used to use Interlaced, now the camera produce MP4 30/60fps, with following media info:

Format : MPEG-4
Format profile : Base Media / Version 2
Codec ID : mp42

Overall bit rate : 36.4 Mbps
Performer :

:

Video
ID : 1
Format : AVC
Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec
Format profile : High@L4.2
Format settings, CABAC : Yes
Format settings, ReFrames : 2 frames
Codec ID : avc1
Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video Coding
Duration : 2s 436ms
Bit rate : 36.0 Mbps
Width : 1 920 pixels
Height : 1 080 pixels
Display aspect ratio : 16:9
Frame rate mode : Constant
Frame rate : 59.940 fps
Color space : YUV
Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0
Bit depth : 8 bits
Scan type : Progressive
Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.290
Stream size : 10.5 MiB (99%)
Language : English
Encoded date : UTC 1980-01-01 00:01:29
Tagged date : UTC 1980-01-01 00:01:29

Matrix coefficients : BT.709

My final destination are primarly on my TV-set, I normaly uses a NAS and the via dnla display the final result

I have tried to have Sony Vegas pro 13 set the type, but there is "only" NTSC. Is that a problem for me i PAL country ?

Please advice the best setting for me
Thanks
Johnkl

My Canon G15 has a setting in camera to set NTSC or PAL. Look for a way to instruct the camera to shoot PAL and you will likely get different frame rates from the camera.

For DLNA streaming, I normally 1) use the Blu-ray templates for elementary streams and mux them to .m2ts using tsmuxer or 2) render using Handbrake to an MP4 wrapper.

But is'nt that just for outputting to a TV via HDMI cables ?
Does PAL/NTSC setting matter when we are talking progressive MP4 ?
I have tried with Handbrake and frameserving, seems to work fine. Produce small MP4 files, but my TV (SONY) will not play the MP4 files.

PAL is 25 frames per second, NTSC is 30 fps.

I looked at the specs for the Canon G7X on the Canon web site for the Untied Kingdom (which I take to be a PAL country) and the fps ratings were as shown:

Movies

(Full HD) 1920 x 1080, 60 fps / 30 fps
(HD) 1280 x 720, 30 fps
(L) 640 x 480, 30 fps
Star Time-Lapse Movie (Full HD) 30 fps / 15 fps
Miniature Effect (HD, L) 6 fps, 3 fps, 1.5 fps
Hybrid Auto (HD) 30 fps
iFrame Movie (Full HD) 30 fps

I don't see any options for 25 or 50 fps for that camera.

Where are you in the world? Which TV do you have?

My wife bought a Sony DSC-HX60V last year.

It records AVCHD at 50i 24M, 50i 17M, 50p 28M, 25p 24M and 25p 17M, as well as MP4 at 1440x1080 12M.
