it will boot and load faster on a raid 0 system. but, you take a big chance that one of the raid drives will fail. then you're sol. The speed of the raid 0 will be realized, only, for bootup and loading an application. Both of these operations are one time only per startup, so, for my money, not worth wasting space on my raid 0 drive set.You're much better off putting your boot files and app files on a single ultra DMA drive. Just be sure to go to the "options" pane in Vegas4 and move all your default scratch drives to the raid set.
