Question/Problem Adding Visual Timecode with insert fx

I need to add visual timecode to some video......It's easy using the SF efx...but it always starts at 00:00:00;00. What if I want to offset the visual timecode to start at 00:59:58:00? So I can give myself a two second lay in... (standard) and then have the start of the picture be at 01:00:00;00???

Thanks

Sorry, the Timecode filter would be much better if it 1) had an "offset" property, 2) honored media timecode offsets, and 3) honored timeline ruler offsets. Any one of these would make it useful. Failing that, start your project at 01:00:00:00 on the timeline (without an offset) and then use the Timecode filter at the project level (the FX button on the video preview window). Then, you can preroll from 00:59:58:00 as desired.

Oh, I see GG just posted the same thing, thanks Gary. Your solution is also the only one I could think of.

I am with you....seems like something was left out for this function....

GG has a nice work around, but fairly complex for somthing SF should allow you to do....

Thanks gents!
