Question Regarding Multiple Sound Tracks?

If I tape an event with the Sony DSR 250 and I wire-up two people with wireless
mics AND use the mike on the camera at the same time does this mean that when I
capture the tape to the Vegas timeline I will have 1 layer of video and 3 layers
of audio? The reason I ask this is that I understand that the Sony DSR 250 has
3 mic inputs so my guess is that it provides for three channels of audio.

Thanks

No. Vegas will only capture stereo 1 (channels 1 & 2). In order to capture stereo 2 (channels 3 & 4) you will have to use a different capturing program. I use Scenalyzer Live to capture 4 channel tapes which will capture video + stereo 1 into an AVI file while simultaneously capturing stereo 2 into a WAV file. Then, drag the AVI file to get 2 tracks (video + audio) and then drag the WAV file to a third track.
