Questions about scripts for version 5

I have just had my first look at scripts since upgrading to Version 5. It seems that the best thing to do is just delete all of the old scripts for version 4 & use download th zip file which has most of the old scripts converted to version 5. Is this correct?

I have downloaded the zip file with lots of version 5 scripts & looking at the names it's often difficult if not impossible to tell exactly what they do. For instance 2 scripts mention transitions & I assume that one of these is used to apply random transition but which one & what does the other one do. Is there any list as to just what each one does?

When you select tools scripting a few scripts arealready there. Most of these will never be used my me - can I delete these & replace it with a verised list of my own?

I would just open the handful that you actually use, find "import SonicFoundry.Vegas" and change that to "import Sony.Vegas".

Of course it's always good to look through the full list that you downloaded to see if there are any others you might like to use.

Hiya
Sorry to barge in! When you say you have downloaded scripts do you mean off non-sony sites. Is tehre a play in the sony web site where there are extra scripts available. If so where? I would like to have a look through in case there is somehting of use
Cheers

There are LOTS of scripts available. I have several listed on my site as well as links to several other places including the Sundance site.
