Hello
I have a few questions in order to make decisions and
need your expert advice.
Bearing in mind that I know nearly zero about the tech
audio (and particularly MIDI) stuff, and after reading a
lot of postings I still need the reassurance that Vegas
will sync to the MIDI signal coming from my RED beat
extractor (MIDI Implementation: System Real Time/ clock
commands=transmitted), meaning that I can have a track to
play in sync for a live mixing.
Another question is: when the features refer to unlimited
tracks are those able to be handled (excuse my English)in a
similar way they are in ACID?.
For a last question I would Like to know if it is possible
to ad (load?) (like an EFX plug-in) an fraunhofer MP3
encoder for bit rates lower than 256 kbps (128 or lower if
possible)and if not is there any chance this or similar
quality encoder will be included in future versions?
The advice section
From what I've read (postings) about Vegas it seems to me
that it is brill not only to produce audio based net
content but also to actually "make some noise" as sampling,
editing and laying down dance tracks, would you agree? am I
missing the point? would you consider other options with or
without Sonic Foundry (I'm happy with SFoundry so far but
only have SF4.0XP - Vegas would be an investment and a
completely different ball game)
Thank you very much for your time and advise
