Quick question on rendering settings.

I am am in the process of moving all my footage shot from a Sony HDR-HC1 to DVD and I am a little confused on which would be the best settings for rendering before adding to DVD Architect. I have not upgraded any of my equipment to Blue Ray yet so I want the best possible picture on DVD for now. The source material was produced at 1080-60i and is personal home video type stuff.

DVDA NTSC video stream template = 30fps but is 720 x 480
DVDA NTSC widescreen video stream template = 24fps progressive and is 720 x 480
HDV720-30p template = 30fps 1280 x 720
HDV1080-60i template = 30fps 1440 x 1080

Comments and opinions on what would produce the best results?
Thanks in advance.

Ron,
I would stick to the DVDA widescreen (non-24p) template. Even though its lower resolution, it will still look great through your TV and DVD player.

Anything else will require re-compression in DVDA.

Oh yeah,
Don't forget to pick a de-interlace setting in your project properties. Even though both are interlaced, because of the re-scaling, picking one will have better quality.

There's lots of good posts on this forum (from some really smart people) about which one to choose, so search away.

Thank you for the reply.
Just to verify what you suggest, I need to make sure I pick either Blend or Interpolate fields in the Deinterlace method, correct?

Thank you again.
