Quick questions about 64bit

Thinking of going to Win7 64bit andVegas 64 bit.My hardware supports it (X58 mobo, I7 920, 6GB ram).

1) Apart from any possible stability improvements have you noticed any faster rendering speeds?

2) Will the "older" plugins (Boris Red as plugin, Pixelan Spicemaster/CreativEase, Mike Crash filters, Red Giant plugins) work partially or do not work at all?

3) Is there anything in Vegas 32bit that is missing in 64bit?

Currently I am still in the good old XP SP3 pro and 9.0c. But the 64 bit upgrade is a bit necessary as my other favorite application (After Effects CS5) will come only as 64 bit

Thanks in advance.

Don't even consider building a new system that is not 64-bit (IMHO) as 64-bit allows the computer to address more than 3.2 GB of RAM.

As memory problems have been a major stumbling block for Vegas, this is even more true for anyone building a system primarily designed as a Vegas edit system. You can run both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Vegas on a 64-bit system if you find yourself with incompatibility with Vegas plugins in the 64-bit version.

I personally only run the 64-bit Vegas, tailoring my use around which plugins work in 64-bit. Just got tired of memory handling issues in the 32-bit app.

Pixelan plugins work in Vegas 64 bit. In the "Plug-Ins...the best?" topic Paul Russell say that NewBlue plugins work in Vegas 64 bit too.
