QuickTime and Vegas Pro 9.0e

Hello,

I am in the process of setting up Dual Xeon processor system for use with Vegas and I wanted to find out what the most compatible version of QuickTime will work correctly with Vegas Pro 9.0e under Windows XP?

There was several threads about this awhile back but all I could find was QuickTime v7.6.5, is this still true?

Thanks for the link. Wow, QuickTime v7.6.2., that is even older than what I was reading previously. I'll give that try. Does the QuickTime un-installer actually remove all of its files or will I need to run a special cleaner?

Having had the 'pleasure' of recently re-installing 9e on a clean re-install of XP, I'd advise you to look up the various versions of Microsoft .NET Framework and Visual C++ that Vegas needs, and download them ready. The Vegas installer only appears to look for them on your system - not the Internet. Also have Windows media player 11 ready to install - that saves looking for quite a few other MS bits and pieces.
