Quicktime crashes in every render? Win 64 Bit

I have 2 projects I am trying to render, and I can't render them in Quicktime at all. This is pretty embarrassing as an editor, to have to tell other people that I can't deliver quicktime.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

Quicktime 7.7.1 (Pro)

Vegas 10 and Vegas 11 are both pro versions. I have tried different codecs, everything, but it always crashes at about 14 - 15%, even with various projects.

Is there an older version of quicktime I should try? Anyone else have a similar problem?

Are you trying to render to QT using Vegas or are you rendering in QT pro?

I have stayed with QT 7.6.2, and have seen that recommendation several times in the forum. Can't say if that's your problem, but QT works for me in the same clunky way it always has. You may try uninstalling your version and downloading 7.6.2.

And I have been using the Pro version of QT (32 bit) in Win 7/64 and rendering both in Vegas and in QT Pro successfully.

WHen I go to Apple's site they only have one download for quicktime. Microsoft site says that it is 64 Bit OK, but I do believe it is the 32 bit version of QT. Does anyone have a new link for downloading QT 64 bit?

I will try version 7.6.2 from here on.

I'm not sure that there is a 64-bit version of QuickTime for Windows.
This is my go-to site for older versions of QT.
Looking for a certain version of QuickTime?
