Quicktime imports as black screen

When I import Quicktime movies they often come in as a black screen only. Audio is fine but video is black. Any suggestions? Most recently finding issue when loading Quicktime movies saved from IPhone.

Mike, this worked perfectly. I had uninstalled Quicktime and re-installed directly from the Apple site to no avail.

This version works like a charm!

The key is to use the exact version of Quicktime from http://community.avid.com/forums/t/44210.aspx - version 7.6.4.

BTW, if you're an iTunes user, 7.6.4 works with the latest version just fine.

Note: Support for Quicktime 7.6.4 was added in Vegas Pro 9.
Most Pro 8 users will need 7.6.2 or 7.6 with iTunes 8.
