Quicktime or mpeg on enhanced /audio cds?

Ok,what the heck is goin on here.Is this a personal taste thing or not?
I see alot of enhanced cds off the shelves from major record label artists that use director 8 and have music videos that are usually quicktime, and very few times mpeg.
I can get actually better results (or same)with mpeg and the file size is just a tad smaller(same quality though),as mov videos.Rendering is longer with quicktime I have noticed as well.

Is there any light someone can shed besides all computers can run quicktime?
Mpeg runs under windows media as well.
Let the thoughts fly.

Both formats are cross-platform, so it's probably a preference thing. QuickTime does take a long time to render (even longer than mpeg), partly because you're using the Sorenson codec, and that's very processor intesnive and slow on the render.
