quicktime preview

i rendered out a file from vegas 8 with a size of 320*240 and a pixel aspect ratio of 1.333. It was rendered as an mp4 file, but when quicktime previews it, the widescreen proportion is not reflected, rather it looks like a standard/sqaushed, non-widescreen image. Why is this?
any suggestions?
when i pull the file into vegas, it looks good, but quicktime doesn't seem to preview it accuratly.
thanks again......

"but when quicktime previews it,"

That's why. the QT player plays everything at 1.0 PAR. Nice "feature," huh?
If you render your video 427 x 240 at square pixels, and fill the frame when you render, you should get what you want.

That being said, I use the free VLC player for almost everything. It will play anything you throw at it and is highly configurable. It doesn't tear with full screen playback like the QT player, either.
