SOLVED!! Thanks for the faq. I learned to use ffmpeg and changed all files to mp4 and worked
---------
I post this after doing a LOT of research around and haven't been able to find the answer.
The preview looks just fine although
The project I edited has many different clip formats they handed me to work with (mostly from an iPhone 8 Plus and a drone), some (just a few) I had to re-encode because they somehow where h.265. After that, I have in summary:
- 4k m4v avc 29.97fps, 12bit
- 4k mov h.264 30fps (and somehow some are 31.597fps) 32bit
- 4k mov avc 25fps 12bit (Drone)
- 1080 mov avc 30fps (timelapses)
I edited using draft preview, but It looks perfectly fine (just slow) on best/full.
The project is set at 4k 30fps, 8bit, because only a few shots are 1080 (timelapses). I did proxies for all of the 4k clips to work fluently on them.
I set the render using
- Main Concept mp4
- 1080HD
- 30fps
- 1 pixel ratio
- progressive scan
- 2 reference frames
- variable bit 28max 14 average
- CPU rendering (I read is less likely to have mistakes. CUDA/ACL were having the same trouble)
- numer of (I don't what this is) 4
I am NOT doing anything at all with the computer while rendering
SPECS:
- i7 7700HQ 2.8ghz
- 12 DDR5 RAM
- NVIDIA Geforce 1050 (not using it really for editing, not supported?)
- Windows 10 64bit , HP pavillion
- Sony vegas 13 pro build 453 64bit
The problem is that everything is rendering perfectly but SOME frames suddenly go black. And without notice, some of these go white on the timeline (when I open the project they seem just fine). The weirdest thing is some frames go black are inside the SAME clip, leaving some frames working just fine.
I'm completely lost. I already tried changing the project to 1080 and got even more black frames. I already tried turning off resampling, and tried rendering with XAVC. I leave the laptop to work by itself and don't mess with anything.
