Anyone know why captured files which play beautifully from my hard drive are ratchety and slow when opened after saving on either CD R/RW or DVD R/RW media? This condition occurs in Vegas and when viewing the file in Media Player. I just installed the Sony DRU burner (had same problem with my old CD writer) and was hoping to archive captured files on external media to free up my hard drive. No problem with MPEG2 format saved to external media, just the avi.

Someone throw me a bone!
