hi everyone
i use to be a regular in here (sofo videohead many moons ago) i got a job and i haven't been here for a while
i am still on vegas 4.o
i love it though
anyway, i am getting an ipod and i understand the video must be quicktime mpeg 5
i see that vegas has quiccjtime 5
can i download my video directly into the ipod from vegas if i encode the vifoe in this format?
same with mp3?

The Video iPod takes H.264 and MPEG-4, and then there are two resolutions to choose from, 320x240 or 480x480 if I remember correctly.

Gotta check Apple's specs!

320x240 is the highestfor H.264 AVC. 480x480 is for ASP Mpeg-4 only.

Just do a render as (file menu) using the 320x240 Sony H.264/AAC profile. You can then import that into iTunes 6 and use that to copy it across. I don't have an iPod so haven't tried it. Video files play back through iTunes 6 / Quicktime 7 without any issues.
