re: lock all events in a loop

hey everyone
tomorrow is the big day--i'm getting sound forge and noise reduction in the mail
this completes the cycle: vv3, acid pro, sound forge & noise reduction
i have spent so much money on sofo in the past year rimas buinevicius better attend my funeral when i die!!!!
i figure that will be when i get me next credit card bill
that said, i know how to LOCK events ---- select events and then press ctrl + G
i have multiple events i need to select and move and lock---the selection tool isn't going to do it---is there a way to lock events when i create a loop??
that would be the trick for me

That would be just 'G' to group selected events. Locking is something different.

you have to select events in order to group them, but you don't have to group your selection just to move it. all selected events will move. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking, but if you want to select events based on a time selection, I'm not sure how. it seems to me the selection tool *would* be the thing to use...

i have 5 VEG files from a project i want to put together
this way i will only render once--to best quality
i will start with the first veg file, then copy and paste the remianing 4 veg files
i want to group the individual veg files and bring them into the master timeline
i will add a transition for each one, as a result, i will need to group them---because i may have to tinker a little to find the right placement so the transition looks good.
if i can not group all events on a veg file--i guess i will just play around with the first event in each veg file and then set the cursor to the point i like, then copy and paste the veg file
i was just wondering if i could group events from a loop
