Re: Naming a region

Hi

Is there a way of naming a region or point between two markers so that I can have a good idea of, say, what the dialogue of that section/region is rather than hving to play it through again or os there another way to acheive my aim apart from naming the track which cover the whole trrack and not just the bit I want?

Cheers

Well, you can always add a marker and label it as you wish. Just hit 'M' when your cursor is located where you want the marker to show.

Just highlight a region on the timeline and type "R".

Hey, I forgot that. The manual is so comprehensive that as I was reading the next section the previous was dropping out my head%-)

I never actually noticed when adding markers that there was a writeable box there, too.

Of course nother solution I realise was to split the clip and rename the split part under the properties.

Thanks

Hey, missed that, too:-)

Great forum - always come up trumps!

It really is amazing at how much info there is to take in for such a great editor and I have a head like a sieve lately%-)

" split the clip and rename the split part under the properties"

You might find it quicker to have the 'Edit Details' window open (and docked) and type in the new Active Take Name there.
