hey gang;
long time no post!
i have been busy travelling etc.
anyway, i am back and i can't wait to catch up on all the info this forum has to offer
i recently installed vegas 4 and made another video for my friends nightclub
Tone loc came and sang wild thing and funky cold medina
he wouldn't let me video tape him, but i got good crowd shots and tried to be creative...he did cut an ID and let me use his songs for the video
the audio would surely be improved if i used a mic...something i will definitely look into in the future
anyway, all comments are greatly appreciated...this forum has helped my editing and creative enery immensely

video is at

please let me know the good, the bad and the ugly

I checked out the vid. Sweet. I need to get hold of Mr. Loc anyway for a project I'm working on - but that's a different story.

One of the things I noted is that you mentioned that the file would be streaming - but it didn't stream versus downloading to my PC then played.

Someone told me a really really really quick and easy way to make ANYTHING stream from a website. I'll post the basics, but if you want more indepth feel free to e-mail me.

Here is whatcha do.

1. Once the file is up on your webserver - open WinAmp or Windows Media Player (or anything you can save a playlist in).
2. Load the file to play from your web location (i.e. put in the URL and stuff)
3. Once it is loaded...save a playlist (besure to do it as an *M3U file)
4. Upload the M3U file to the site for folks to click on.

This way...when they click the lick for the M3U...the file starts playing as a streaming video versus downloading (to temp) and playing.

Hope that helps

(I had a couple of vid tips to share...but e-mail if you get a chance)
