Re-Render 80% Everytime I want to Master to DV???

I think I am missing some setting here. Because I am pretty sure we should not have to RE-render the whole timeline every time I want to layoff a DV master! I am not changing anything on the timeline. Only trying to master off another tape. The little 10sec render bars up top have NOT disappeared. So what gives???

Any help is MUCH appreciated!
Thx

The prerenders are disappearing for one reason or another- temp folder getting auto-emptied maybe? You might try rendering the entire project to a single file and then use that for print to tape- a single file is "non-volatile", meaning nothing can make it go away except the user dragging it to the trash.

How long is the render taking? Because there is a single-step render to generate a mixed-down audio track, which is independent of the video pre-renders. You can tell the difference because video renders go in multiple steps and you can see frames appearing in the video preview window during the render.

I don't think Vegas keeps the audio mix-down, so it re-renders it for each print-to-tape.

But why DOESN'T it keep the Audio, if it hasn't changed? I've been wondering about that for weeks.
