Re-render comes out black and white

Ok what have I got set up wrong, when I render a project in Vegas 5 for assembly with DVDA2 the avi end up black and white I can't find out why. What have I done wrong?

Does it play back in colour on the computer? If it does, how is your DVD player connected to your TV set? If you're using S-video, try unplugging and replugging the cable at each end. If colour comes back intermittently, replace the cable.
In Vegas itself, make sure you don't have a B&W effect added at some level (track or project).

The original project is colour 1 video track with multiple audio levels, the new render to 1 video track and 1 mixed audio track plays in b/w on the computer in Vegas, I have not burned it to dvd using dvda yet as I don't want a b/w video. I'll check for b/w effect (i'm at work) I did not add it deliberatly but you never know. Thanks for help. Tim
