Re-Rendering in DVD Architecht

Clark153 wrote on 7/15/2008, 8:52 AM
I have a project that is 1:40 long - to big for a standard DVD. I do not have V8 Pro so I can not render with a reduce bit rate from Vegas. I can re-render the MPG2 file in DVD architect and make it fit.

So here is my question. Since DVDA is going to rerender anyway, will I get better quality if I import an AVI file into DVDA rather than an MPG2 file?

Thanks for the help!

How did you create the MPEG file in the first place?

Rendered it in Vegas V8.0.

Vegas 8 should allow you to set the bitrate for your video so you don't render thru DVDA. (unless you are referring to Vegas Movie Studio 8)

There are some bitrate calculators either online or download that will help you determine what bitrate to use.

You can only do that in Vegas 8 Por, I have Platinum so I can't change the bitrate in Vegas.

Then you might want to post in the platinum forum.

To answer your initial question. Yes AVI in DV form will be better.
