Re: Time into clip

Hi

Small problem I haven't found a solution to in the manual and can only think of a long-winded way round.

When using track motion you can place the cursor where you want on the timeline and it can be reflected in the trackmotion window but this doesn't happen for Media FX.

So far, the only thing I've found to do is place the cursor at the start of the event and make a note of the timeline position then place it at the correct spot within the event and note the time there. Deduct one from the other and I have the time within the event i need to move to.

Surely there must be an easier method than this?

Cheers

Yes there is.

Look at the time codee for where you want the event (equal to that in the FX).

I use to do a lot of stuff with SoFo products without lookign at time codes (I work with audio and video produts)....but the time codes make things very very easy.

I've come up with a solution;

At the same time as I select, say, Deform I also select Cookie Cutter which also allows you to Sync Cursor. Once I've doen all I need to do I just remove the Cookie Cutter (unless I've used that, too of course).
