I just figured out one way to do it, but possibly not the most efficient way?

Created two tracks, one for original size image and the other for the modified size image (using track motion).

Is there an easier way to do this?

You can keyframe track motion so that two separate areas of the timeline have two different sizes. Another alternative would be to use Pan/Crop to resize the image. Then each can be set independently.

I'll look into the keyframe option. Did try the pan/crop method, but had a hell'uva time getting it to work right for me.
I have a LOT to learn.

Resizing in Pan/Crop is backwards to Track Motion. They work in different ways but can give the same results. If you are zooming in on a picture (bmp, jpg, png...) you will get better resolution with Pan/Crop than Track Motion.

Also, ifyou did copy/paste with the picture on he timeline & pasted with a reference, then when you change one all will be changed.
