[ Get the voice right, a la Joe Pesci, when you say the following ]

"Okay . .Okay . . . Okay .. . " - When I'm K/F-ing in an FX AND I have the k/f timeline e x p a n d e d AND I'm at the furhtest end . . . and make some adjustment .. the t/l clamps shut again, crashing all the k/fs together again meaning . . . . I have to re-expand the t/l . . repeat the adjust OR make another adjustment and the t/l then clamps shut again . .WHAT, in all that is Disney, AM I DOING WRONG?

TIA

Grazie

keyframes are sensiti ve things. they hate i when you speak to them in that Joe Pesci voice.
Besides, I know you're struggling to learn the right mousebutton - but how about the wheel? Have you a mouse wheel? Every home should have one. You can use that to expand the keyframe timeline. And I'm sure there's a keyboard shortcut as well - I just don't know what it is. Have you the Magnus Helander keyboard shortcut file (pdf)?

Me to boy, "your going down son" if you have more then one filter in the clip when you change filters the t/l compresses. for no reason, meaning i have to re-expand to get back to where i was. before i was where i was

Er . . . . Torsie wotz this then? "Besides, I know you're struggling to learn the right mousebutton - but how about the wheel? Steady on a minute . . . Torsie . . . yes, I know about rodent wheeeeellllls and tails too!

"Have you a mouse wheel?" - YES . . .a n d i use it very often, more than I should too . .

"You can use that to expand the keyframe timeline." - - - YES i do this too . ..

"Have you the Magnus Helander keyboard shortcut file . . " Wotz that Torsie? AND no I don't . . . .ah was this the file for that keyboard box of tricks a couple of months back??

. . .Read my lips . .I wanna the timeline not to slam SHUT when I operate at the furthest end of the T/L . . .

1 - When I expand it, it slams shut.

2 - When I expand it, with or wihout the mouse wheel, it slams shut

3 - . .. er . .how do I say this . .IT slams shut. PERIOD! NADA zilch nothing . . finish kaput . . GONE!

Zcheema has this too . . it is reeeeeallllyy infuriating when it happens . .

Grazie: What does micturating mean? If this is a new swear word I'd like to try it and if I like it I'll use it.

This whole thing sounds like a new Andy Garcia/Joe Pesci/Farley Brothers film plot.

Grazie - gotta hand it to use...ya gotta good head on yer shoulders. You tink it's funny do use? Well if use wanna keep dat head of yers on yer shoulders don't stick in the time timeline when it slams shut. kapeesh?

Not that this helps or matters - do you have the snap to grids thing turned on? Not that that should have anything to do with your problem but I tell you I have found some strange things in Vegas that sholdn't be connected but are. I don't seem to have this problem - at least not the way you describe it. I have used more than one effect on an event but I don't get things slamming shut. Sometimes this weird thing happenes where the timeline will shoot back to very start and beging to play, and that is frusterating when working about 75 minutes into a project with the timeline zoomed all the way in. But that isn't what you are talking about.

Now I am micturated! Or at least discombobulated.

JJK see this
http://www.merriam-webster.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dictionary&va=micturate

But Grazie means the slang for the word, which starts with Pistol and ends with looking.

Grazie, this drives me crazy too. When working in the KF timeline, I've tried to get in the habit of clicking on the FX header at the extreme left (or whatever they call that section where the FX are listed). That allows me to expand/contract the KF timeline with the mousewheel, while still keeping the last KF from the previous FX visible in the timeline. So its easy if I want create another KF at the same point.

Does this address your frustration?

Just the title of this thread made me micturate uncontrollably!

It's another medical term for urination. I'm sure most of you guys did know this. Sorry for explaining the obvious.

Grazie. Involved in the medical field at all??

Cheers! :)
