Realtime Output to MPEG2 with Vegas?

Hello

I was wondering if there is any hardware that supports realtime mpeg2 output from vegas timeline. All the products I've seen use Premiere, like canopus dvstorm.,

can you help?

I'm tired of waiting like 30 years for like 10 minutes to render. Mainconcept you're too slow!

You can use Procoder from canopus. It is a near realtime encoder that is a stand alone software solution for encoding. I think it'e around 700.00 though.

Can you somehow put the canopus procoder encoder into vegas as like a plug-in?

I think there's a couple of hardware devices, external to the PC, that do realtime MPEG2 encoding. Check the Dazzle site for one of them.

I suppose you could act like you're printing to tape, and then if one of these hardware encoders has a firewire port, just connect the device. But.. I suppose the device needs to be connected to a drive or something to store the resultant MPEG2 file..... not sure what you're options might be...
