Recapture Issue

I'm running Vegas Video 4. I captured a bunch of MiniDV tapes that ended up having dropped frames - which i noticed while cutting a show. When I went to recapture, Vegas doesn't recapture at the orginal start frame. For example, one start frame is 00;00;01;19, but after recapturing the start frame became 00;00;04;27. How can I trip Vegas into specifically recapturing at the original star frame? It's imperative that I do to avoid re-cutting a 120 minute show.

Did you use Normal or Advanced capture? If you use the batch method in Advanced it will create a list with the exact timecode information for every clip, allowing you to recapture precisely. Make sure to save the capture file so you can recall it whenever you want!

If you just used the normal method - clicked capture tape and whether you've enabled scene detection or not - it will not be precise.

To save you ongoing project you could use Advanced mode and manually enter the time code, but before that you need to write down that info from all the clips you are going to recapture.

When I grabbed the Original clips, I had used capture tape. After I found the media was bad in places I dumped it but used advanced capture to recapture - and it seems to be disregarding the correct starting tmecodes. :\
