Recapture to down converted AVI to HDV

I have a situation i caputed footage from HDV that was downconverted to AVI in vegas capture, the originals were HDV tapes. nw how do i recapture the footage as HDV and have it rebuild in my time line. I could see if it was using the same capture utility, but there different.
Any help!

You can’t. There is no way to recapture downconverted DV as HDV. This is why utilities like VASST GearShift were made. So you can work with DV proxies and swap the HDV media back before rendering.

I think the only way is the hard manual way.
Audio 'markers' can make this a bit easier.
Also you can put the new footage on an upper track set to say 50% opacity and match the images to get frame accuracy. Painful work, I've only done this for a few minutes of video, don't know if I'd have the patience to do it for any more.
