I'm buildiing my business and I have a brouchure from Digital Juice. Looks great! But for someone buiding the biz $$ spent is important. I work mostly with church and not-for-profit groups. I'm looking at the "Editor's Toolkit 1" but are there other options out there that have as good of quality and similar options? And if you've used it how do you like it?

Check out http://www.kickbacktracks.com

I have sold them to MANY churches and from the feedback I have gotten they absolutely love them!

$30 for 100 10-second animations
$30 for 40 30-second animations

all are seamlessly loopable and boradcast quality.

jumpbacks high impact volume 8 is the one and only every editor should buy! There is a church one as well I can't recommend (never used it).

I have seen a buy two get one free promo floating around but that would be a good investment at full price. Highly recommended company!

I'm leading a video ministry team at a church as well. I've been bidding on the various Jump Back volumes that are interesting to me on E-bay. The list price is $250, and I've bid about $50 each time one of them shows up for less than that amount. So far, I've won four auctions.

Volume 20 has been very helpful, and I've had some use of volume 17. Volume 13 (church) only has a few backgrounds that are apropriate for our use, but these few have been essential.

I also picked up the PowerPoint version of BackTraxx Music Library #1. These come in MP3 format with a hard high end roll off at 8 or 9k hz. They don't sound as good as the CD versions, but the price was outstanding, and the quality and diversity of the music is fabulous.

The license is the same for the powerpoint version and the CD version. There is no restriction on their use in video editing.

I've used at least 20 different cuts so far. I've found appropriate stuff for memorial services, summer youth program highlights, church history overview, a stewardship video and a video brochure for the church.

Take a look at www.cokesbury.com

Have fun,

John.

Rick, I'm curious... Of all the JumpBack volumes, why is volume 8 the must have volume?

By-the-way, you've got a very nice demo reel!

You can go to the www.digitaljuice.com website and view video thumbnails of each volume.

I have volumes 1-8 on DVD, 2,7 and 8 on CD-ROM (duplicates, but they don't need to be rendered first), plus Editor's Toolkit #1.

On just the 3 CD ROM versions I've used probably 90% of them at some time or another. I've also mixed them into some fairly sophisticated variations (composites, changed the colors, chromokey colors out and use as mask, etc.). I've used them for several church videos (for the titling, tansitions, backgrounds (along the edges), etc.).

You may also wish to check out www.easymotion.com. The clips are almost as good as jumpbacks but a LOT cheaper ($69 for 16 or $299 for 100!). Their thumbnails are too small to see the quality so order the free DVD--I was shocked at how good they were and called them immediately.

Also, you can download 3 FREE clips (they rotate, so check back often) at http://www.easymotion.com/pages/ezhome.html.

www.mainconcept.com offers 5 free loops every month. They're not specific to event or religious images but more along the lines of Sony's Vision series, which is also a bargain. Of course I never argue with free.
