Vegas functions very well with OHCI-compliant IEEE-1394 DV boards,
and the good news is that there are quite a few of these available
for less than $100. Even better is the fact that you will not need to
install ANY new drivers- we talk directly to the drivers built into
98SE and Win 2K.

For analog capture you might think of recording your analog output
onto your DV camera/deck and capturing from there. You'll have DV
footage at that point, playback will be faster/smoother. Cheap
solution, works great.
