You bought a video editing program to do audio?

NO

no.

Why not buy Acid Music Studio?

I have ACID PRO 6, but it doesnt edit video.

SO YOUR TELLING ME I CANT RECORD AUDIO LIKE ACID PRO ON VEGAS MOVIE STUDIO? I know VEGAS PRO 8 does, but what about its cheaper predecessor.

It say on the box that you can create your own soundtrack, but on the box I dont see an "arm for record" on any of the tracks. If I'm correct, the look of the screen shots looks like you can record audio the old ACID Pro 4 way.

SOMEWHAT let me know soon before I open this box and have NO use for this.

You can record with it. You can multitrack up to 4 stereo tracks. It does not have ACID's beat and loop features.

Still though, since you're asking for ACID features it probably would have been better to get ACID.

Does it at least have the grid spacing? ie. measures, snap features?

Nope. That's an ACID loop feature, not an audio-recording/editing feature.

wow! this really is worth 50! back to the store you go. Thanks!

Well, as an audio and video editor, it's worth far far more than $50 in most folks' opinions. Just because it doesn't do what you want doesn't make it less valuable.
