recording from Digital Video Camera

I am recording from a JVC GR-DVF21 camera over firewire. It
records fine but the file that it creates is
xxxxx.sfvvid??? or something like that. When i try to
import this file into Video Factory it says it does not
recognize the file type. What type of file do i need to
record it as and how is that done. I am using the capture
software i got with the product. The manual sucks. I can't
find any information on this. Does anyone know of a decent
manual or book on that covers this software? Thanks. dan

Jet,

The *.svvid files you are saving are PROJECT files, not
clips. The project files are like little playlists that
allow you to call up your captured clips at any time.
They're not for use in VideoFactory. Your clips are being
saved to disk as *.AVI files in the VideoCapture directory.
To double check:

1. Click the "OPTIONS" menu.
2. Click "PREFERENCES".
3. Goto the "DISK MANAGEMENT" tab.
4. This is the location of your clips. Navigate here in the
VideoFactory explorer and use them.

That should be all there is to it. Stay patient and enjoy.
