Have you tried using Vegas instead? Vegas is true multitracking and lets you play back a track you've already recorded while adding a new track.

yea u should really use Vegas or Cakewalk or something like that. Sound Forge is really just a secondary support program for these true multi track programs

Duuno about -'seondary support pro5gram-'. Sfor5ge is a stereo audio editor. Ve5gas (etc) are multitrack audio recorders w6hic6h are different animals entirely.

Yes he should be using a multitrack app for what he wants.
