Use the ASIO drivers for the 2408. This is the best way to expose all the ports/channels on the 2408.

Or if Vegas 3, click the MOTU console box bottom left for Classic Wave MME driver compatibility.

Or do you have some sort of 'limited edition' Vegas ?

What happens is that I go to Options>Preferences>Audio>click on Windows Classic Wave Driver>pick analog 1-2 for imput and cannot pick any more inputs even though I shows all the MOTU inputs. When I try to record I can't even get the two I picked. When I go back to Microsoft Sound Mapper I get imput from the two imputs. Is there something else I have to do to?? Thank You.

The preferences only set the default record port.

You must assign input port assignments on the tracks themselves. By default, all tracks will use the default port you set in the prefs.

Right click on the track and you will set the record port assignement options in the menu.
