I am a long time user of vegas pro and have old projects from version 9 on till now version 18. Version 18 seems not to accept this old veg formats. Any clue how to convert an old veg format ( 9, 10, 12, etc..) to the last version 18?

What happens when you try to open them? Vegas Pro 18 should open the older VEG files.
You are correct, I manage to open some simple ones even from vegas 9, but the more complex configurations give the following error

Try copying the VEG file to a different folder and opening it. Then also rename the original folder. Then it won't be able to find the media. Will it open without the media? If yes, you might then try reattaching the media one at a time.
You are correct. I tested it out with 2 very different .veg files and it opens correctly if copied to a partition on the PC. I tried to open it on a share on a server, but this seems not to be supported correctly.
