Recovery Files

Hello! I opened Movie Studio 14.0 after a computer crash and it asked if I wanted to open an autosaved version. I did this and it was exactly where I had left off. I thought nothing of it so I then closed the window and opened the project. It had lost all of the additions that I had spent hours on! I'm trying to poke through files for if that autosaved version is anywhere. Would anyone know where I could find autosaves/recovery files? Thank you so much! This would be amazing :)

Recovery files can be found in the recycle bin

The OP is referring to an AutoSave file which has a window that pops up on opening Vegas/MS after something like a system crash. The idea is to select the AutoSave which opens the project in a previous but recent state (may not be up to the last edit made just before the crash) and then save it with a new .veg name (or the Movie Studio equivalent project extension name).

You may be able to find Vegas Movie Studio autosave files in C:\Users\user name\AppData\Local\product name which may be Vegas or Movie Studio/14.0

Autsave files should end with a .bak extension name.
