Red Book, etc

In my last post there was a reference to a red book standard. I read some place else about three additional standards with different colors.

Where can I read more about these standards or purchase additional information.

Is there something better for a new one to read?

There are a multitude of standards...

Red book is the traditional audio standard.

Then there are yellow, orange, green, blue books and much more.

THese cover data cd's, extended audio cd's, multimedia cd's, video cd's etc etc.

Google "red book standard", and look at the Wiki.. I'm sure there will be plenty of links in there to follow into the other standards.
